Lots of cool facts about Match Attax!

  • Match Attax was first released first in Sep/Oct 2007. It was the sucessor of the Shoot out series, which had began in 2003.

  • Signed cards have always been a very rare collectable. There are only a certain amount of each. They include Cesc Fabregas of 08/09 and Kolo Toure, Theo Walcott and yet to be released Shay Given of 09/10. They can go for around £100-400 on ebay

  • Exclusive to the 07/08 and 09/10 is the coveted Master Cards which can only be won at tournaments announced in the collecter guides and on the official website. It's a great place to swap cards and meet new people, and above all, attempt to bring home a Trophy Card.

  • Match Attax 08/09 was highly anticipated to be amazing as it turned out to be! But several cards; all limited editions leaked into the open by ''Mistake!'' They include

        -Ryan Giggs

        -Micah Richards
        -Tuncay Sanli

        -Kevin Davies
        -Steed Malbranque

        -Dieberson geovanni
        -Zoltan Gera

Dunn and Giggs were released in the hundreds (around 300 of Dunn. Approx 100-300 of Giggs) by accident in a Daily Mirror (or some newspaper!) promotion at the start of the season instead of the card to be released, Jermaine Jenas. The employees responsible were fired I think. For Match Attax Extra the others were created and were set to debut, but of course did not. The loyal employees were each given a copy which is why a couple appear on ebay.
